It seems to me that is a heavy burden to place on a group of people, that someone does not know personally, just because they have paid to see them(the movie-actors) on a movie screen and/or a television show.

There are some people in society that are in denial of their own maddness, and need someone, something to use as a whipping post.

(movie-actors, any famous celebrities have a just right to be or do what they want to do. like anyone else in society.and not be responsible or blamed for the corruption that goes on in the communties individual nasty closets.)

When did this start having celebrities has role models?

What is a role model(s) ?

  1. i agree but movie-actors and famous people as such are seen on tv and in the news ext therefor will be seen by the younger generation where as people in society wont necessarily be as much in the public eye.

for example young children will watch movies and be inspired by the actors that they see and a lot will aspire to be like them . so when they see them in the news or whatever for using drugs, more and more children will see it as a normal everyday thing. so they are still seen as a role model because children will want to be like them including the use of drugs therefor resulting in a 'drug infested society'

i can see both sides though, they do have just as much as right as anybody else in society to do what they want (use drugs) but with fame comes responsibility and the understanding that you will be in the public eye a lot more than others and will be seen my small fans that will want to be like you.
