  1. The National Weather Service offers long-range estimates of weather conditions. The media has reported on those estimates. The New York Daily News does not try to guess if it will be a hot summer or not.

As you've discovered, these estimates are only that. Last year was supposed to be an active hurricane year in the Gulf, and it really wasn't. So ... you take such predictions with the proverbial grain of salt. It's not like you plan what to do on August 17th now anyways.

  2. Because they want to sell newspapers!

  3. Let's put it this way. If they have to use whatever information they have in what the weather is supposed to be like, then they have no news! They print this rubbish because they have nothing else.

  4. Because they lie lie lie lie lie lie. LIE.

    I hate the tabloid press.

  5. Because they are the Newspapers and the Media, and know everything in the world....and it must be a slow news day.

  6. And not even then, we were promised a bad, terrible, awful snowy blowy winter, and look what happened, nothing.

Then it goes to summer and they predict and warm one, and so far its been raining since forever.
