Why is it not ok to pop zits yourself but it is ok for an esthetician to pop them?

I just had a facial for the first time yesterday and she used the same tool that I have at home for popping zits... so why is it ok for her to do it and not me?

I try to never pop my zits, but my esthetician does it WELL. She ussed tissue and she is quick and has been doing it for years and years so I really trust her! So I guess their simply better at it! XD

When I do it, I'm looking through a loupe, and if it needs to be lanced, can carefully insert the lancet properly.  I've been trained to extract acne so it will cause the least amount of trauma to your skin.  Do I do it to my self?  Usually.  Could you do it the same way I do?  Absolutely.

when you pop your own zits your hands maybe dirty and that allows bacteria into the freshly opened pore and causes more zits. when they do it for you, your face is clean and they're wearing gloves (or they should be!)

personally, i think having other people pop your zits is disgusting. i had that done to me once, didn't know it was coming... eww.

Because she is a professional. She knows exactly what she is doing and the correct way to do it with out causing anything bad to happen.

If you do it by yourself you will leave scars or cause cysts.

my moms an esthetican so yeahh me! i  get facials and free zit poppings lol

heres what she does : steams my face with a rpoffesional steamer (try using hot towels)

rubs alcohol over the area.

uses a sterlized needle.

then sqeezes out everthing.

then uses tool to sqeeze out te rest of the stuff just in case.

Aestheticians say it is not okay for you to do it at home because they want your money.  It is as simple as that.
