  1. There's no law against using a handicap bathroom.  And, one would presume, you would be parked in the parking lot longer than you'd be parked in the bathroom.

I also use the handicap seats in the movie theater if there's nobody else using them.   They are the best seats in the house.

  2. The chance that handicapped person will need the parking space is greater than the chance that a handicapped person needs to use the bathroom at the exact same time as anyone else.  Plus most people park for more than 5 minutes that it takes to go to the bathroom.

  3. You wouldn't be in the bathroom for that long, but it is probably best to not use the handicap stall if other ones are open.

  4. well you see going number two only takes 5-10 mins 20 tops parking in their space is just messed up plus...how many times do u see a handicap person in the bathroom?

  5. there are more than one stalls in a bathroom.

  6. yea i really dont get that either

  7. Well I hope that you never need these parking spaces and if you do someday need one then you will know the answer for yourself.........................

  8. batrhooms are only for like 5 min but a parking space could be for more than 2 hours and its closer to the door so the persoon doesn't need to walk a long distance

  9. Because you are only in the bathroom for a minute or two - in the parking lot you might be in there for 3 hours.

  10. It is not actually a 'handicap bathroom', it is a bathroom that has been adapted so handicapped people can use it!

But able bodied people may also use it, if it is free and no handicapped person is waiting.

Same with these bathrooms that state 'family bathroom' what is wrong with me going in there, if the other is busy (or extremely dirty)? All that is different is a changing table.

  11. Mathew O is correct.  The difference is that there is a law governing the use of Disabled Person parking spaces.  The Americans with Disabilities Act only provides that business provide accessible bathroom stalls, but does not restrict their use to disabled persons.  In many, I noticed that the baby diaper changing shelf is located in the handicapped stall.  Parents changing diapers are not, necessarily disabled.

  12. who says its not ok to use handicap parking? i do it all the time and im not handicapped. and anyways, those stalls are nice and super roomy. its only wrong if there is an actual handicapped person who needs the bathroom when you are.

  13. Why is this question posted under 'Safety'?

  14. it's not okay to use handicap facilities if you are not handicapped. In the bathroom, you wait for the other stall to be available... unless you absolutly can't. Then you apologize to any handicapped person that had to wait for you to finish.

  15. its not okay. ppl just use them anyways. if someone handicap needed the handicap bathroom, but see some one normal go in to one first. they are allowed to cut them off and go first

  16. It's not.  Hold it until another stall comes open
