Why is it not ok to use a shock collar or similar device on a child?

Please explain to me if its both safe and humane then why is it not ok in our society when hitting is?

Most animals can only be trained via a punish/reward method (although I am sure many of us believe otherwise).

Children do have far more intelligence than animals, so you should not have to use just pain as the main method to teach them something.

And who said hitting kids is OK?

Well, both aren't exactly humane/safe, but you have to admit, actually attaching a device that can kill to your own child and physically sending electricity to them is a whole lot more cruel than a spanking.
