  1. HELLO! Did you actually read your question after you wrote it? They don't pee in the gutters. And there are drink stations along the 26 .386 miles and people to take care of the dropped cups or water bottles. What..... do you expect them to run for 2 1/2 plus hours without hydration or carry their water bottles with them? Grow up!

  2. i suppose i understand your sentiment... was watching the cycling on the first day... saw the cyclists throwing empty bottles and food wrappings down the hill around the Great Wall... there i was wondering to myself how the heck are they gonna clean up afterwards?? rock climb down the bushy hill? ha....

but then again, not the atheletes' fault though... something, perhaps a net/catchment area could have been put in place...

  3. Are you dumb or just a moron in general?

What the h**l do you want them to do carry the empties with them?

  4. i agree. just because you are running for a gold medal doesn't mean you abandon basic courtesy. Perhaps other junior runners will think that it is okay to toss their litter behind them or on the road on the basis that they are training for the olympics, or even the school cross country race. it doesn't matter, the principle is the same. How difficult would it have been to place some long bins near the drink stations so they could simply toss their trash into it?
