Why is it ok for us to show our bare hands, feet and face, but not our bare croch?

You are really talking about showing our private parts in public.  Whilst in theory this should not be a problem, we need to understand that there is an element in society that seems unable to deal with this type of freedom responsibly and conversely others who, due to their own experiences, find it difficult to cope appropriately with the sight of another's sexual organs.  In an ideal world we would all recognise that these parts of our body are purely functional without further connotations (which indeed many of us are able to do) - sadly it is not an ideal world and hence rules are invented to protect us from the weaknesses of the few.  Unfortunatley, in a society that is taught to get excited at the sight of these organs (quite possibly precisely because they are always covered and therefore more mysterious) those few are probably more numerous than they should be.

wouldn't it be nice if we could?! i don't see why we can't, i guess it goes against some peoples morals and stuff. who knows...
