I keep seeing people bashing the other party for bashing their party. really now? for once I would like to see the candidates speak only on what THEY are going to do for this country and just ignore the other candidate. I'm sick of hearing Obama and McCain just go on and on about how they are going to change America! Why won't they tell us HOW they're gonna do this? probably b/c they're both full of bull c**p. your opinions? keep it nice.

  1. They are politicians and this is what politicians do...SLING MUD and say almost anything to get elected.

  2. I'm an independent American, not a mindless party lemming. I put loyalty to my country above any partisianship. Too bad more people don't.

  3. Obama already directly stated the changes that he wants to make during his speech @ the DNC.  You can Google a transcript of his speech from the last night and read it.

  4. I like  Phil M's answer.  People wouldn't listen to Kerry when he was talking about the issues. They certainly listened to all the negative nonsense about him. If you want different campaigns then you are going to have to change the electorate or at least educate them.

  5. Because a discussion of the plan for change is a little lengthy for most speeches, Obama has setup a website with his ideas: http://www.barackobama.com/index.php

  6. Obama does tell of how he wants to "change" all you have to do is listen....

  7. McCain has everything in writing Obama's the one using the word change that is his slogan and people are sick of it he has no plan just tax,tax capital gains tax will double increasing tariffs on imports and exports and he states only the rich those making 200,000 dollars and above, yet if we all ready pay increase for imports and exports because of gas imagine what we will be paying when Obama is finished with his economics everyone will suffer. McCain says no tax which makes sense so people will spend and economy will rise Wall Street is excited with Palin but I'll tell you now get your money out of the market if Obama gets in it will crash for sure!!

  8. They are trying to tell us it is just that we had rather listen to smears and gossip than set and just listen to them.

  9. Honestly both McCain and Obama for the most part aren't bashing each other frivolously, they are keeping it about policy.

No candidate tells you exactly how they are going to do anything for many reasons.  Mainly, its because you would change the channel and nobody would listen, except for soundbytes used in attack ads.

John Kerry tried this, remember?  "I have a plan..."  He was considered too intellectual and long-winded.

  10. Phil has got a point.

In addition, don't watch FOX NEWS and you won't see the bashing so much.

  11. It seems to me that McCain's ads spend much more time bashing Obama than the other way around.  I think Obama was very clear last week about what he plans to do.

At heart, yes, all politicians are full of it.  They're out for themselves, and if something they want will benefit you, well, that's great, but that's not why they're doing it.

And if you read some American history, you'll see that our campaigns are pretty tame now compared to what they used to be.

This can't be the best way to choose the leader of the free world, but apparently, it's all we can come up with.

  12. Go back and listen to Obama's acceptance speech. He outlined some definitive measures for making America better. He detailed the paths he will take to bring about much needed change. He spoke specifics. So pull up off this site and look into some real information about the race for the white house.

  13. The only candidate that gave a detailed account of how he would help us out of the recession was Ron Paul. I hate to say it, but I almost wanted to leave the Republican party when he was denied the nomination and snickered at by his fellow party members.

  14. I'm not a candidate so I'll say whatever I like, if you dont like what I'm saying there's the block user button, if I've crossed a line somewhere there's the report button.

The candidates can say what they will, largely I let them go in my bad ear and out the one that's even worse, and just vote my gut.
