Why is it disrecttful to keep it short when they try to talk to you when you're around? Do you think ppl just do that b/c they want to make the situation esier for them since they see you?

2nd q: What would you do if a friend? ignored your messages and called a year later & said they forgot that your number was in their phone & they wanted to know if you wnted to get together before they move out-of-town. Why would they do that?

  1. Technically it isn't disrespectful to keep conversations short, and to the point, as long as you are polite about it, and not clearly annoyed or aggravated.  I think people talk to others because they want to be friendly, and may not realize you want to keep your distance.

If a "friend" ingnored me for a year and claimed they couldn't remember my phone #?  I'd say, "Have a nice relocation, buster, but I'm busy this week (or this month) and can't make it.  Bye bye!"
