after the emergence of quartz watches, swiss is no more leader. japan is now the leading country.even in india TITAN  has emerged as a leader and produces quality watches.

i suppose its the same reason why it is only the United states and Russia who excel in making successful space expeditions.

Dont believe that is the case any more.  They have been surpassed in watch making by others some years now.  They still make good  watches, dont get me wrong,  but are no longer the leaders in this field.
