  1. Hmm not sure, I think I prefer husband and wife. I guess you could ask your celebrant to say husband and wife.

  2. why do you care? lol

    man and wife sounds better

  3. I pronounce Husband and Wife because in our society they're equal partners, and both are whole, individual pepole.

  4. yes in the bible eve was made out of adam

so they believed man was superior

which I totally disagree with :)

  5. Actually, "husband" is taking the place of "man" in today's wedding ceremonies. It's been a pretty long time since I've heard "man and wife", now that I think about it. I definitely prefer the change, though. It's sort of how the word "obey" has been slowly but surely drifting out of the vows as well.

  6. I have been to weddings where Husband and Wife was used. If you like that better go with it. There is nothing wrong with it at all. After all you are husband and wife after the vows. Good Luck

  7. cause the word husband sounds lame and 9outta10 times will haunt the wife..so they just say man instead its like showing the wife whos boss be4 the honeymoon has started and 10outta10 times the wife was right at the start

  8. Have you been to a wedding recently?  I don't think I've heard that in the last 10 years.  It's always husband and wife.

  9. Its not always the case, I have heard 'husband and wife' at weddings...

  10. It is just old school verse.

I have heard it said husband and wife many times.
