Its a serious question, I can't recall ever hearing about a black person being abducted by aliens or seeing a UFO.

  1. One might be inclined to ask, why do you only hear about zombies in Haiti?

If zombies were real, wouldn't this be a universal thing? Then a Haitian might point out that Zombies need black magic to be created and you don't find many black magic practitioners in, oh, Denver.

So why don't you hear about blacks being abducted by aliens? One might argue that most blacks live in urban areas with high population densities and well locked doors and windows, and one might reason that aliens, should they exist and be abducting people, shy away from abducting people in large cities for what would seem like obvious reasons, however this couldn't be valid because there are indeed many accounts of abductions of people who live in the middle are large cities, and in large buildings full of people, many with doormen and windows that don't open.

So in conclusion, I think if you were to look at abduction reports in places like Brazil, and other parts of South America, you will indeed find black people who claim to have been abducted by aliens.

  2. It's been proven that the incidence of ufo reportings and alien abductions are a phenomena of the television era.  Never heard of it before the 1940's.  Just people trying to get some attention is all.

  3. Maybe they see it as a crazy white person thing, and just shake their heads sadly at the poor nutjobs.

  4. i guess it's cuz of the location that the person was abducted....lol idk tho

  5. What about Men in Black? :D

Seriously though, I would offer two explanations which might explain your question:

    1) In American culture and particularly in the mass media, white is the "normal" variation; if someone (a character in a movie, a coworker, a politician) is black, then they are to some extent defined by that trait, as it sets them apart from the "norm".  Thus, if you want to tell a story about people getting abducted by aliens, you start with normal, white people.  Otherwise, you are telling a story about black people getting abducted by aliens.  This would seem to be part of a wider cultural trend, in which people fill token roles:  the token black person, the token g*y person, the token alien abductee.  Because we have already constructed ideas about these identities, it is undesirable to present a complicated character which fits more than one category.

    2) You are experiencing both selection and confirmation bias:  you can only remember stories about non-black people getting abducted by aliens, and/or you are only looking for stories about non-black people getting abducted by aliens.

    I hope this helps!

  6. think about it, if your out flying around in a ufo in the middle of the night a few hundred feet up in the sky who you going to see first a pale *** white person glowing like a light bulb or a black person. seriously, not being racist.just giving an honest answer.

  7. I guess you never read the story of Betty and Barney Hill then!! Really great story!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_and_B...

    They were an interracial couple......

  8. Because every time they try to abduct a black person, the black person (male or female) kicks the c**p out of them.

(If you think that's racially charged, use your imagination and try to realize how much worse it could have been.)
