Don't tell me you haven't thought about it...apparently I'm now Snoop Dogg's father and Suge Knight witnessed me getting killed.

If you have done it what have you put?

  1. It's a lot of fun, and if you are a reader it gives a way to share what interests you. I suppose it is addictive because it is satisfying. Not at good as ice cream but good.

  2. I think it is addictive because any changes I make are made visible (and stay visible) to the whole world. It's a way to share knowledge.

Most of what I do is minor stuff like fixing typos or copy-editing. Occasionally I will go do research to expand a section of an article. I used to revert vandalism a lot, but I'm not doing that as much now, since there are bots and other people who can do it faster than me.

Also, if you think editing Wikipedia means vandalizing it, you're wrong.

By the way, you aren't Snoop Dogg's father anymore, and Suge Knight didn't witness your murder.

  3. lol...its soo addiciting b/c u feel in charge..like u can change the world..haha..and u kinda can...lol

  4. they want to change the world

  5. Who says its addictive ????

  6. I dont bother editing it because it would mean I have to make an account, I have thought about it though lol.

  7. I usually edit any typos and grammatical errors I find as I'm picky like that.  Even better if I find a factual error that I can back up with evidence.

I like doing my bit to make a tiny bit of shared knowledge just a tiny bit more accurate, so that's why I do it.

Wish I could do the same for Sky News - I have no idea why they employ virtually illiterate journalists.
