Question:

Why is it so difficult to bridge the gap between the sexes?

We both want essentially the same thing, at least initially. Isn't this fair to say? Of course under ideal circumstances we all want more than we are worthy of- to what extent does this make otherwise good genes susceptible to an under handed domination of by the merely horny and good looking- as they are almost always a genetic aberration in an otherwise, butt-ugly family

  1. dunno.  i may have been dominated by a good looking woman whose sister may have been even better looking.  to this day i've a hard enough time knowing what i want and wanted, let alone what she wants and wanted.  nor do i know the arbiter of worthiness.

or is the point just a resentment, based on the belief that physical attractiveness is hemlock?

hard time here seeing this question as macro.

  2. You're thinking along the right lines.

The only reason it's difficult is because people treat it as if it is, and also treat anyone who doesn't care about the gap (those "Genetic aberrations") as if they were social messiahs.

It's down to the way the masses look at the problem, ultimately.

That, and they believe that it is a problem that needs to be overcome in a first place.

People just can't leave one another's differences alone, it seems.
