Why is it so difficult to type into a group message?

Many of my letters and spaces are being dropped from a mesage I write/type. I have to press keys hard to post them to a yahoo message. I don't have this problem any other time.

Yahoo seems to be denying me the use of the mesage boards by deleting letters and spaces in my messages to the point they are not making sense when reading.
