  1. because you want things that seem nice and cool now instead of waiting for somthing that is actually worth it and it takes too long to save!

  2. i know that if all malls and shopping center closed doors my hubby and i would be rich.girl cause it is so much fun to spend .

  3. If you ask me earning/making money is the hardest thing to do.  No one wants you to pay you a fair wage for an honest days work.

  4. cause its funner to spend. instant gratification....

  5. now isn't that the question??? But this is how i do it, i put in my saving account 36% of my income and use the rest to pay my bills. I keep on doing that thinking that i need to save to get my car and my house....Just keep something positive in mind

  6. Because you are more concerned about what you want right now, then to bother planning for what you want or might need in the future. This is how people get into serious debt. What happens if your car breaks down, or you get sick and can't go to work, or you lose your job and you are unemployed for a month? You are screwed! That's what happens.

You know how much money you make and how much your bills come to. What ever is left over, take 50% or 75%, etc... and put it in a savings account. Consider that another bill you must pay each month. What is left over after paying your bills + your savings deposit is money for you to spend as you please.

It takes discipline to teach your self a new way to handle money, but you either make it happen or find your self in debt and unable to handle a financial emergency.

  7. It's not difficult to save.  Out of sight, out of mind.  I have a certain percentage of my income sent to a 401K account to save for retirement.  I don't see the money so it's saved.  As for other savings, I transfer whatever is left from the last paycheck to a savings account each time I'm paid.  Sometimes it's as little as $25 and other times it's in the hundreds.  I make it a point to not even pay attention to the savings account.  It's there just in case of emergencies, unemployment, etc.  I've done this for awhile now and at this point I have just shy of a one year salary saved.  Start trying it... it does work and it's a good feeling to not have to worry about how to pay for an unexpected problem or being laid off at work.
