well i was looking on the jobs site looking for animal work or retail work, and i said i wanted work within 15 miles of where i live, but it came up with jobs at the other end of the country. and everyone i clicked on that i liked the sound of, it said that you needed experience. it even said you needed experience to be a shelf stacker. how am i supposed to get a job when nearly every job i look at, you need experience for the job.

  1. Sarah make a CV and type out a covering letter and send it to Asda, Sainsbury, Boots, M&S etc as soon they will be taking on christmas staff this is initially a seasonal tempory job however it will give you the necessary experience and there is a chance you will find a company which may offer you a full time postition. You also say you want to work with animals so you need to apply to all the rescue centres etc, if you feel like doing some voluntary work this may help as it always looks good on your CV and you will have another person to give you a reference. Do not get disheartened keep looking and good luck.

  2. The economy is in a slump right now, if you want money fast you should advertise your talents on craigslist and who knows maybe you can open a business. I have other ways of earning money at www.squidoo.com/moneycrunchalert. GOOD LUCK!

  3. what i do is if the hours suit me , i wil apply anyways even if i havent got the experience and i will say i am willing to learn and im a fast learner etc i hardly ever get the job, but trying and putting an application in, is better than just ignoring the job all together

They always put an idealistic description of what they want anyways

You dont need experience to be a shelf stacker im positive, if you do then how do students get jobs in like asda and sainsburys lol do they have experience?

    x*x

  4. its not set in stone, they prefer experience but it isn't mandatory.

  5. They say that in hope of getting someone experienced. Obviously high end jobs require some experience but in a lot of "starter" jobs they will consider you're application without such experience (since it's a job many people start in afterall all). Even though they say they prefer experience it is not always necessary.

    I've confused myself.

  6. I have exactly the same problem.

  7. I have something for you. Join Free Marketing System, that helps you generate passive income though 22+ income streams. It is new, and people joining by 100's every day. It is growing very fast.
