Hello all!

I have been doing in-home daycare for 15 years now and am going through some major burn-out! I want to go into retail but am finding it very hard as I feel I will be letting my daycare families down if I quit and close up the daycare. I was thinking to give them until january 1st and meanwhile try to work evenings and weekends in retail. I am so burnt out that my hair is falling out, I feel exhausted all the time and I clench my teeth so much they hurt. Why is it so hard for me to just say "no" to daycare and get on with my life??? Iam a 38 year old female with 3 kids aged 17, 15 and 10.

  1. Id guess that its hard because its risky. Day care has paid the bills for you and taken care of your kids for a lot years. Probably the thing to do is to ask yourself 'whats the worst possible thing that could happen?' and really imagine if you can come to terms with living your life even if that worst thing really did happen. You may decide that the mental freedom and excitment of change is worth even that.
