Question:

Why is it so hard for me to get motivated?

Whenever I get excited about exercising, or practicing for a sport, I get motivated for a day or two, and than I just give up. This has happened to me on multiple occasions before. It's very hard to get anything accomplished when I never become motivated. Any tips?

  1. tell a counselor or a psychiatrist about it. i used to have these problems, and some prescriptions helped a lot.the source is usually depression.

    but some simple things to do are to go with a friend or family member, so you feel a responsibility to go and not let them down. also, good sleep and good diet/vitamins will help you be more physically able. self discipline helps a great deal.

    and clothing has a little bit to do with making it easier, but don't believe in all the "performance enhancing clothing", just simple sweatpants/shorts, good running shoes or cleats and a loose fitting shirt will be about all you need.

    TL;DR: talk to counselor, eat right and get good sleep, go with a family member or friend, loose fitting clothes

  3. Alright if you like nike then your a failure alright. do you know why? cause dey motto is "just do it" so before u say anything i just wanna say u should never wear nike. o and a good thing to help u jump is put some leg weiights on and just start jumpin while watchin tv

  4. because you are lazy, come on thats a no brainer, having a goal will help, doing it whether you want to or not is the rough part, see you'll never be able to fully enjoy it unless you tough it out on the days you dont want to excersize, the more you do it, the easier and more enjoyable it will get

  5. Ask a friend to participate with you. It's a lot easier doing something like that with somebody doing it with you, especially a friend. It almost makes the difference between sluggin' around to it, and making it a fun activity.

  6. Join a vast majority of the world.  Just do it.  I put mt exercise machine right in front of tv.  That is how i get motivated and stay with it.

  7. Dedication is important. First of all to get motivated you got to develop a liking towards it.

    Once you do that u surely will get along with it well. Do the things that u like the most.MAybe you are not getting motivated cause after two days u dont find the sport as exciting as u thought it would be. Motivation can be achieved just by dedication. Dedicate urself towards the task motivation will auto matically follow

  10. I think that you are not alone. Most people get motivated until their body starts to feel the pains. You have to learn to not listen to the voice of your feelings. I mean you can try to pump yourself up by doing self talk or by listening to motivational music, but it doesn't always work. Remembering that the pay off comes after diligence. Short term feel goods are not worth the long term consequences. So go for short term not so feel goods and have long term results that you will be happy with. :) hope this helped.

  11. Whenever you are having your meals, do get deviated like this? Or at the time when you are bathing? Or at the time when you are in toilet?

    You are habitual to these things. If you make a habit, you will not get deviated. This is what motivation is. Motivation is the process of making something your habit.
