Why is it so hard for people to believe in God in this day and age! ?

i may be going out on a limb here....but could it be the reason most people don't believe in God is because they enjoy the lifestyle they live, they are free to live and think however they please without any kind of repercussions and they just don't like the idea of having to answer to anybody...is people really that afraid of the word sin ???

I think you have it.  People want to be masters of their own fate and captains of their own souls and God interferes with that scenario.  

Those who reject God answer to no one.  Without God, there is no sin.

i believe in taoism but more or less humanism than anything else, i essentially worship my mind and body.
