Why is it so hard getting contacts in?

I've basically asked this same question before but I asked VERY early in the morning, which is probably why I only got one answer. So I will ask again. I am having problems getting my contacts in. They are very flimsy and went to bend. When I do get them in they have I guess you'd say bubbles in them...or they are bent. However you want to put it I have to straighten them out which makes my eye sore. Later on in the day it feels like they have moved and they aren't covering my eye...when you look through them it seems like there is a line and is kinda awkward feeling. It is hard to get them in. Other than them hard to get in and them feeling like they've moved\ seeming like you're looking like you're looking through some kind of line they are very comfortable. Can someone please help me?

  1. we have a eye syestem that protects us by shutting are eyes each time they feel something will harm it in anyway.

  2. you might want to go to an eye doctor to teach you how to but them in. ive had contacts for 3 years, and mine have never done that. my eye doctor taught me. hope i helped.

  3. Ok, You need to make sure its not inside out. Cause that will cause pain.

http://www.andrewgasson.co.uk/images/gen... see in the pic the one on the left side is how they are supposed to be when they are not inside out. The second one is when you need to flip it. This is inside out http://www.eyecaresource.com/images/cont...

Make sure you have plenty of solution on the contact. and then stick it in.

    hope i helped.

  4. You need to make sure that when you are putting your contacts in that they are not upside down. If they are that can make it very difficult to put them in right. If you know you have them the right way, put it in and move your eye around a little before you blink, if you do this, it will hel get rid of those little bubble you are getting.

After a while of wearing your contacts you will get used to putting them in and wearing them thoughout the day. It just takes time. Good Luck.

  5. * They are flmsy and bend- perhaps you are putting too much solution in them before you put them in, they can be too wet!!

    * Bubbles- these sound like air bubbles, when you get them keep your head forward and move your eyes down and to the bottom left and right- this should clear them!

*Mine move about alot too, I give them a quick nudge with my pinkie and they usually slide back into place.

You get different types of lenses, perhaps the ones you have just dont fit your eye shape. I would recommend going back to your eye doctor and telling him your concerns. They can help you put them in and perhaps get you a better fitting pair!

  6. When i first got them i found it very hard to get them in and out but after a week it was fine. I didn't have any problems with them being uncomfortable or anything tho. Make sure you have them the right way around. Also if they start getting uncomfortable you could try closing your eyes and gently rubbing you lids or keep your eyes open and look to each side then up and down and see if that makes them feel better.

If they don't get any better go back to the optician and they will be able to help.

  7. First, check the lens with a good light for defects. Even a new one could possibly have a small tear.  Acuvue lenses have numbers (123) on the outside of the lens so that you can be sure the correct side is placed against the eye. Also, be sure to rinse them well with solution before you put them in because even the tiniest speck can cause problems. Sometimes I have to rinse mine 2-3 times before putting them in. Don't hesitate to go back to where you bought them if you continue to have problems.
