  1. It is hard because the Mississippi brings down all the sewage. insecticide, fertilizer, metals and toxic wastes from North of there.  Much of the natural landscape is wetlands.  If you dump that stuff into wetlands you kill them.  Out in the Gulf, the habitat there is rapidly being destroyed by the river as well.  The way the channel has been confined it shoots all that stuff out for miles, killing everything.

  2. So you're the one. I heard that there was one in LA but didn't believe it until now.

As far as nutria go, the trappers do go after them but they are a step down from the muskrats the nutria replaced. Good eating, though.

  3. There are lots of people interested in preserving the environment in Louisiana. They frequently go by the titles of "hunter" and "fisher". They want to keep nice, natural areas in which to have their recreation.

  4. Rednecks of course!

  5. Seems like Louisiana would get lots of money from gulf-shore oil and refining.  Chemicals in the salt too.

  6. Try being one here in the category of Environment

    we get crucified everyday ,

Lots of enemies of Gaia out there

I don`t think the average American cares two hoots for Mother nature ,they are more interested in what they can get out of it .

It is an expendable doomed  resource

    .

    So it is written
