Why do they make it so the laundry detergent bottle will not empty? And yes, I took the lid off.

  1. Put some water in there, it's going in water anyway.

  2. It isn't hard to get the remainder of the detergent out of the bottle.. just add some water to it and shake.. viola~~gets every drop out of the bottle.

  3. Put the cap back on and set the bottle on its cap (upside down) and let it sit that way for a few minutes.  All of the left over detergent will run into the cap.  Obviously you open the bottle upside down.  You can only do this if there is a very little bit in the bottle or you will open the bottle and it will overflow all over the place.

  4. That stinks I always get so mad because I want to use every last drop of soap in that bottle.  I usually fill the bottle up half way and shake it then dump it on my laundry  I do that a few times.

  5. Pour all out you can, then put some water into the container and shake.  There is probably enough in there for two more loads.

  6. Haha... I hate that.

I shake it like crazy and still it won't come out. Finally I start running the water and fill up the bottle and dump it in... I can't stand the thought of wasting it...

The company's design the bottle a special way I think to prevent it from pouring out all over and to catch what's left in the lid and let it drain back into the bottle. Why ever they do it, it's very inconvinient.

    Switch to powder detergent! :)

    Good luck.

  7. I'm not sure I understand the question but storing the bottle upside down when it's almost empty will allow the contents to run into the cap.  You can pour it from there.

  8. for my last load with the bottle I put the bottle in the washer and let it fill up then I dump it all in there water and soap and all... and surprise surprise there is usually more soap and suds then EVER when I do that. Anyway I do that till it runs clear...

    I hate waste.

  9. The reason is that bottles are studied in order to don't let you use all the detergent inside. Few grams pe bottle become huge quantities and a big saving for the producer.

It happens in almost every field: i.e. many joints in household appliances have a programmed life which is not the longest you may obtain keeping your costs competitive. It is more related to financial calculations of the producer.

Sometimes, when they tell you that old tools were more solid and lastin  longer , it is technically true

Of course you may turn the bottle upside down, or cut it or add little  water (concentration, thus viscosity of products- is generally higher than what you really need) and recover the residual quantities

  10. What I do is put water in there, it's still going to go into water anyway.

  11. leave it upside down for a few minutes with the cap on and then use it
