  1. Because that is where the baby fish live and where the fish food called plankton and others come from. No reefs equals no food which would equal no fish in a hurry. Besides, they look so pretty...they ocean would be ugly and boring without them.


  2. Alot of fish, and other organisms feed on coral reefs,

    so their existence depends on them, (coral reefs), being

    made up of live organisms..

  3. my guess would be that they are home for other animals. without the reefs, the animals would have no shelter and die. the animals a level higher on the food chain would die because thats not there. eventually we'll die because all the fish will be dead. well, that was pretty extreme, but i think you get the idea. =].

  4. a lot of sea animals live off the coral reefs, so if the reefs were gone so would the animals. the reefs are really beautiful too
