  1. Biological (animal and plant) diversity provides food, fiber, medicines, clean water, and many other products and services we depend upon every day. Yet nearly one-third of native species in the United States are at risk of disappearing.

As the species disappear, so does our resources.

  2. Even if any one of the  species on earth becomes extinct it can have tremendous consequences such as the disturbance and hence the destruction of the food chain. This may lead to further even more serious environmental issues.

By the way, "Mr. Help Clean the Earth", Isn't it your duty to "help others to help clean the earth" as well?

  3. Every living thing, be it insect, plant, animal, fish, or bird, has an important role in the eco system. To remove any one will impact on the whole system and may affect other species until the system collapses.

Picture it as a chain; removing one link may not sound much, but it can affect the use of the chain as a whole.

  4. There are chemicals of interest in many species.  We might lose access to important drugs that potential save lives if one of these species goes extinct.

  5. SO we dont mess up the food chain

  6. because, EXTINCTION means FOREVER.

  7. I'm surprised by some rude answers people give out on this blog site...i wish they just ignore questions they dont like and go to the mountains to hibernate....

anyway, going back to the question, that's for preservation purposes for our children and our children's children and so on and so forth...there wouldn't be anything left for them if these endangered species would be gone...

  8. because man.......  god thought it was so important to keep the animals alive and made that Noah dude go on a world wide search for 2 of every species .  if we let them become extinct it would mean that noah wasted his time!!!    some day we might have to eat that kind of meat to stay alive ! if the species dies out we could be screwed too.
