  1. Oh my -it is totally important to be a team member in a nursery setting - when one shift goes off, another comes on, you need not only good but impeccable communication, factual sheets and good attitudes.  No competitions between the workers saying this child likes me better than you or I like this child - you take that one.  That is such a horrible thing to do to a child - but anyway.  No hiding information because of competition between workers -it's all for the kids and if that's not your attitude, then you better not be there.  Guess I'll climb down off my soap box now!!

  2. In a nursery setting, you're working with babies, and that's a big responsibility.  By having good teamwork, you can have a very efficient way of doing things and making sure all tasks are done.

In every job you have, you should always have good teamwork.  If you can't manage well with the other members of the staff, your performance and overall job may suffer.  You might get a reputation for not getting along with others that will stick by you, even when it's no longer true.

Just make sure, at least on a professional level, you cooperate well with the other employees, and ensure that the reason you're there working, for the nursery, everything gets done in a correct and timely manner.

  3. because at the end of the day the children will pick up on bad vibes. if the staff arent getting along then it causes a bad atmosphere something that wont help children to achieve!

  4. With teamwork, you can get more done in less time.  Also, for example: one kid throws up ans another starts crying and another needs a diaper change, well you get the picture. You can't take care of 3 seprate issues at once ( you only have 2 hands) so when you have teamwork you and your other team members can take care of all of the problems at the same time when if it were just you, you would take 3 times as long( no offense intended).  Also the kids learn from your example, if you work together, they will work together, but if you don't they will not.

  5. Because at the end of the day the object of your profession is to make sure the children are well taken care of and molded to the best of your ability, and you can't do that without an all around good work environment, just like any job Team work improves quality, and unlike other professions, you are molding a child's mind and well being and without the right guidance and care you could cause mental and emotional harm to a young mind!
