I am turning 35, and I don't have a real good friend. My father was the same way, so I know it must be something about my personality. I know sometimes I do like to be alone and I don't have a lot of money to go out a lot. Any ideas anyone can give me, I would appreciate it.

  1. im not 35... but i know all of my parents friends are from work

so maybe just start talkin to some people where you work...

ask them one day to go out for a drink or something

    get to know them

  2. aww that's so sad that you don't have many friends, well actually i don't have that much either but i am not a loner all the time either, maybe if u be more sociable, maybe that may work,I D K, it depends on how closed in you are to ppl., and how comfortable u feel about socializing with others, y'know what i mean!

  3. i actually thought it's easier to make friends when you grow older. cos you're more matured and you put each other's differences aside. unlike the younger people where they behave like a child and cause themselves to lose friendships. i guess you just really need to try. i dont reall think it's neccesary to have a real good friend. i have only a few. you just need a great company to hang out with. all you need to do is be yourself.

  4. I am the same way, but I'm 22 and its hard for me to meet people. Most of the time its because I always look mean. Why don't you join a book club, yoga class, or something where you can meet other people.

  5. By the time you reach adulthood, people are pretty much all caught up in their own families and careers.  Also, our society is way more isolated than we used to be and doesn't really foster friendships.

I would recommend that you find a church or other community organization to join that represents your values and interests.  There you would come in contact with some like-minded people and you might have the opportunity to cultivate some new freindships.

  6. i m 16 and although i know many girls i dont really have a good one i had but ..so age doesnt matter
