  1. On the other hand, every once in a while, we look for change too, especially if we are dissatisfied with the present state of affairs.

It is thus not change as such that we either fear or reject...... we are unable to accept it or even fear it because of our judgment that evaluates it as unfavorable compared to our present state of affairs. In reality, such an evaluation ahead of time is unwarranted since future is uncertain due to numerous factors, many of which may be quite outside our own control. Nevertheless, we continue to make such forward judgments to end up either being apprehensive of or eagerly expectant of changes. This is where a positive outlook helps, since in such a case, a change is managed rather than being feared or resented.

  8. As you are continuously playing with your emotions which indeed should be under control. change as you rightly said is 'inevitable', will change you otherwise. So the "difficult to accept" is nothing but the transition stage to change.

  9. Change is inevitable. Change occurs all the time affecting people everywhere, yet few have been so unable to adapt as Emily in William Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily.” Faulkner shows through Emily what happens when one resists or refuses to accept change. Emily’s active

resistance to change leads the town to have an ambivalent attitude towards her, as she wavers between different generations. Her resistance is also the catalyst for Emily’s seemingly horrific and crazy actions, making it possible to understand how she could have urdered her lover and why she never leaves her house.
