makes me feel want to cut my fingers? Is submission really that impossible for a woman to achieve? ...looking at the majority number of women todays

I'm not sure I follow but if you're interested in submission and somehow wish to cut your fingers, this is not normative.

What? I genuinely don't understand your question. Are you asking why, when you submit to a man in a relationship, you have urges to cut/harm yourself?

I am slightly disturbed by the image of you wanting to cut your fingers.  I am not entirely sure whether this is because you dislike the idea of submission, or are frustrated because you don't feel that way, or what?  Is there a reason why you feel you should be submissive, or that you shouldn't?

I find I can be submissive if my husband makes the effort to make me feel that way, and I enjoy it.  It requires input from him though, I can't achieve it on my own.  I can be obedient, but not necessarily submissive.  For me, submission is a state of mind, and while I like feeling that way, it requires encouragement to get me into that mood.

I'm more of an obedient person than a submissive one.  When you compare both words I'm not exactly what you call subdued and or passive; I'm most definitely respectful, yielding and deferential.

Other words for deferential are: courteous, regardful, dutiful, obedient, reverential

A. compliant, docile, tractable, yielding, deferential, respectful. These are other words for obedient.

B. tractable, compliant, pliant, amenable. 2. passive, resigned, patient, docile, tame, subdued. These are other words for submissive.

Submission is not impossible. However, it is considered by some to be 'a regression to the old times' and a harmful choice. If you are responsible about submitting, it is YOUR choice. It has been said that a woman can do anything she wants with her body in this day and age - except give up control of it consensually to another person!
