  1. You need to talk to your agent, so the agent can light a fire under the adjuster, or request your claim be switched to another adjuster.

YOUR AGENTneeds to answer these questions.   You're not entitled to loss of earnings coverage because you coudn't make work - better get that car payment in.

  2. Generally, a theft claim is investigated for at least 30 days.  So if your car was stolen on the 23rd, and assuming you reported to your company the same day, they probably will not be moving forward until around the 23rd of this month.

If you have rental on your policy, you should be fine to rent a vehicle. If you don't have specific rental coverage, read your policy and see if any type of rental is covered under your comprehensive coverage for theft losses.

Finally, if your adjuster is not calling you back and answering your questions, call the 800# for the company and ask to speak with that persons supervisor.

    Hope this helps

  3. It's tough when your in this position, but I have to say not all insurance companies drag their feet. To the contrary, an adjusters job is to complete and close a claim as quickly as they can, if it's legit.

I would contact that adjusters supervisor, sounds like you either got a new one or one that's been there so long, they just don't care anymore...(their are some of out there I hate to say).  If you have a copy of your most recent declaration page proving that you have rental coverage, I would get one ** if the adjuster has not made an offer to you yet **. Normally if an offers been presented, you only have the rental for a few days after.

If your car payment is due & you don't have verification that it's paid off by your insurance....don't be late, make the payment.  If they get a check from your insurance company for pay off, they will refund your overage

  5. I suggest you contact a supervisor, and ask for a rental assuming that you do in fact have rental coverage as you suggested.  Lose the attitude before you begin your conversation. Trust me, your claim will be sent right to the bottom of the proverbial pile.

Your insurance company appears to have horrible customer service.  There is no excuse for how they are treating you, and it is not really the supervisor's fault that the claims rep is not returning your call.  I am sure that the supervisor may reprimand the claims rep.

If this does not work, contact your state's insurance commissioner and file a complaint.  You still need to make your car payment.  You will not be compensated for time lost from work.
