I recently was on the airplane, when I got off there was tons of pressure on my forehead, eyes, and nose. When I touched my eyeball I felt this pain in my right one. I tried holding my breath and pushing out my nose, so it blocked my nose. I felt this pain near my nose. When I look down I feel pain in my forehead. I took 2 advil, and 2 motrin. The advil worked one day, but it came back the other.

  1. This happens because of the decrease in air pressure as you gain altitude, and the increase of air pressure as you descend.

  2. Did you have even some mild infection, like a cold or sore throat before flying.

Changes in air pressure when flying can cause changes in the middle ear and if there any  infection it can travel down a tube to the back of the throat etc.

You need to see your GP, have your ear and throat looked at and treated appropriately.

Your symptoms are very unpleasant but not uncommon and can be cured.
