  1. Because people in other countries has woken up to how good Aussie Rules is yet! A bad game of Aussie Rules is still better than a good game of Rugby or Association Football!

  2. if you havnt noticed, it is called aussie rules.

and those rules dont apply in the USA or Russia or any where

else and if it did go world wide it would loss the its name

and become America rules and that would be like saying British intelligence, it doesnt work or even at that it doesnt sound good because for one America sucks and who would follow it,

besides our PM the one the only joni coward

  3. Because it is Australian Made!

  4. Rugby was started in the UK and like cricket it spread to the colonies and introduced into the school systems by English dominated governments.  Australian Rules Football started in Australia and since Australia did not colonise other countries it could not spread.  Just like baseball and Gridiron in America or hurling in Ireland.

Aussie Rules does have amateur leagues in a lot of countries but it is doubtful it will ever gain as much popularity as it has in Australia.

  5. because Rugby isn't a pure-bred Australian sport!

  6. neither Association Football nor Rugby originated in Australia so your question is a bit stupid.

  7. Because Rugby rox but other two doesn't.

  8. Yeah well Aussie Rules might have stayed in Australia but it's not the same for Chinese Checkers that's gone over the world and not just stayed in China.

  9. I would love it.  But not many people outside Australia understand the rules and do not want to learn.  We used to get it on TV, but not anymore.  Its a shame...

  10. It has travelled to Ireland - Australia and Ireland play games of a modified version of Aussie Rules against each other every year. Apparantly South Africans are also getting into Aussie Rules...

  11. To be honest I think its been held back by the name of it. Plus its such a weird game. What the bloody h***s goin on!!!!
