Why is it that I die in my dreams?

Every time i die in my dreams i seem to drown... i dream that the earth is being flooded with water and im drowining, and then i wake up scared to death, and i wonder do dreams have anything to do with reality..because iunno its just a feeling, but since ive been having these dreams, i've always though that i would die drowning.

Water is a symbol for emotion. Maybe you're afraid that something so horrible is going to happen and you'll drown in depression??? I'm not really sure.

it means ur feeling trapped and cramped,drowning and suffocating is just ur imagination explaining feelings  

or if u belive in the bible and know the noahs ark story ur brain is thinking that u might be a bad person so u end up drowning like everybody else in the story besides noahs family

ive never had a dream where i died before....i usually have dreams about where i am falling off a cliff but i always wake up when i have those kind of dreams..i did fall off my bed one time when i woke up from the dream

Drowning:

To dream that you die in your dream, symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or in your life. Your description is extremely vague so I don't know how much help I can provide you with, sweetheart.  

It's a warning, I am positive of that!  There is something going on in your life or will take place in your life, that will make you feel like you are drowning, or stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Will you die? surely not.  It just means that these obstacles or experiences will change you, possibly turn you cold.  There is some positive light in your dream and that is the water, granted it is flooding the earth, but I have found that water in dreams is a symbol of cleansing or birth.  Such as death, meaning new beginnings depending on the dream itself. From what you described. I honestly believe it is a change in either your attitude or mindset.

There are several factors that need to be taken.

Was the water clear? sparkling? murky?

How was the surroundings in the dream? was there mass chaos?

I would fret too much, fear is natural after such a dream.  The unknown.

You're afraid of being "Overwhelmed" by something in your Waking Life... Is there something in Your everyday life that You fear you couldn't handle if it ever happend to You? -Someone dying, or getting Divorced, or deserting You- or whatever ??? Come to grips with THAT Fear, and Maybe you'll start "outliving" your Dreams...  :)
