Why is it that I rarely see my girlfriends in my dreams?

I've had four true girlfriends in separate times. I discovered I hardly see them in my dreams no matter how much I love them. What could this mean?

Maybe your mind knows that it would wake you up out of the dream owing to the depth of the attachment, so it substitutes other imagery in their place.
