Question:

Why is it that People who are Regularly Descriminated Descriminate Against Others???

I see so many times how people of certain cultures, races, religions, and etc get descriminated against for something that most of them can't change. Those people will talk about how people treat them badly but yet at the same time they'll treat others badly just because they are "different" from them. For example Southern Italians are treated badly by Northern Italians and yet they (Southern Italians) usually descriminate against Hispanics and blacks. Another example is of Hispanics in Spain being treated badly and yet (some) Hispanics treat blacks badly and etc. Overall why do people do this? Is this just human behavior that can't be changed no matter how much you teach tolerance? If people can't overcome race which is simply skin pigmentation, then how do you expect us to overcome greater obstacles such as the wellbeing of our planet? The home to us all known as Earth. Please no race baiting/crude language, we are adults so let us converse as adults. Thank you!

  1. Hi Dad,

It's the way is, and WHY questions are not the

types.  What motivates people to be cruel.............

violent..........all people are subjective to being

    abusive.

  2. I think it's just human nature, because that happens everywhere with all races.

  3. Race is not simply biological skin pigmentation, what people discriminate against is the cultures ideals/origins/beliefs etc. The effects of discrimination- feeling ostracized, isolated, ashamed of ones race, etc, can lead someone-in this case the discriminated- to want to gain back that control they feel they lost by such remarks and/or actions. This means, for some, lashing out at another culture they feel they might have dominance over. Humanity is so far from being perfect, we fail to recognize that so many of our actions-including discrimination- stem from much baser brain functioning, i.e, we are biological creatures-animals- and animals "discriminate" or lash out at other types of animals-even those of the same species. All in all, people who discriminate are a mystery to me, these are just my theories, but I think it is also because the world teaches us to fear cultures different from our own. In my opinion, one should never judge anything on face value, especially a person. You have no idea who this person is, where they have come from and where they are going until you have either walked a mile in their shoes or sat down and had a nice hot cup of coffee with them.

  4. I think people like to be part of a group.  A teacher once said humans learn by categorizing and I think that applies to discrimination.  Some are taught that people of different backgrounds are inferior and they carry that through life and use that information to distinguish themselves from others.  I think sometimes people have an encounter with a person and that skews their image of the entire group.  Take WW2 for example; Japanese Americans were put into camps by US govt because they looked like the people who attacked us.  The skin is the first thing you see and we humans tend to pre- judge.  We categorize everything.

  5. That's not true of all of them; as a general rule, full, or near full blooded native americans are discriminated against all over latin america but they are easily the least racist people on this planet.  Regarding Italians; southern Italians are the closest thing to "not white" as you will find in Italy so, they are treated badly, but here, southern Italians are "white" so its more convenient to bat for the currently winning team.

Its not just human behavior so much as self-importance issues.

For example; in parts of Africa, though not all, you will see white people working in professions open to the highest earning blacks, but in Europe and north America, you won't see the same thing.

It is not so much "lack of qualification" or "merit" which keeps people from earning top $$$, so much as deliberate sabotage and all kinds of loopholes found in the law by discriminating groups to keep the status quo going.  Most whites for example, would rather be in debt up to their eyeballs, than live in the same neighborhoods as blacks.

The biggest cause of economic problems in the United States, is easily racism.  I mean, in not funding black and hispanic schools, and treating them like c**p, you are cutting off an entire sector of the economy.  First of all, second, in creating housing and zoning laws with ridiculous price tags, you are asking for huge debts, and the end result has been an epidemic of foreclosed homes.  Houses do not have to be as expensive as they are; realtors are simply making them that expensive because they know that is what white people want, to live away from blacks.

Now its understandable not wanting to be around criminals and scumbags and it can be agreed many of them are dangerous but here is the problem; even decent black and hispanic people are treated as if though they were criminals.  They may be clean cut, educated even, not have any metal on their bodies at all and no tattoos, but most whites will treat them as if though they did.

Ultimately though, the days of white supremacy are numbered.  No  tyranny lasts forever.  And come on now no one seriously thinks that after all the crimes and depredations that they can just peacefully walk away and not suffer right?  No man; that's the easy way out, and they ain't getting it.

Your observation is true in some respects but untrue in others; even today, Chinese for example, are discriminated against.  Yet in their own country, for foreigners that choose to live there, they find the environment warm, friendly, and the people generally very nice.  In fact, despite the overwhelmingly huge population, there is very little discrimination against people of any race in China.

Regarding "hispanics" in Spain, generally the ones that get treated badly most of all, are argentinians and columbians.  Native american people from latin america are generally treated better, but there is a reason for this; against Native Americans, most spaniards are well aware of their crimes, and the country has all kinds of funds and programs to get them educated so that they can go back and rebuild their own countries and in fact, many do exactly that.

Here's the rundown; Spain makes it a point to help any incoming native americans as much as humanly possible, to get them to leave as fast as humanly possible, not out of any racism against them, but the fact that Spain is not that large of a country, that is, any people who chose to stay would be overburdening the economy.  The beef against Argentinians, and European latinos, has to do with the fact that everyone in Spain knows that in latin america they've got it made, whereas native americans don't.

There are still some racist attitudes in Spain against native american latinos, but that is very rare.  Most racism in Spain is against Moroccans and Muslims actually, with them being stereotyped as selling drugs and all manner of things.

Whether a discriminated group discriminates against others, again, depends on self importance.  Southern Italians may be discriminated against but they are still proud to be Italian nevertheless, and white hispanics from latin america discriminated in Spain, are naturally racist against blacks, because they're white.  I mean what other reason is there?

The programs instituted by Spain to help the native americans there are designed for the sole purpose of getting them to leave, so as to not overburden the country.

    Let me point out circular reasoning here in the states;

America does not want illegals.  It doesn't really want hispanics period actually.

And because hispanics are not liked, or wanted, they are kept out of jobs, and even educated ones are kept out of high paying occupations.

Here's the problem though, you need a high paying occupation to get educated, and you need to get educated to go back to your country, fix it so that it is not so poor that way they don't have to come here.

Problem is they can't get educated because too many are discriminated out of high paying jobs, so how they h**l are they supposed to leave in the first place?

Oh, the majority of hispanics would love to leave if latin america was prosperous, like say, Japan or Switzerland.  Problem is, whites have turned this country into a prison for them.  In fact in New York I hear it IS a prison; the toll booths and ridiculous zoning and property price laws are designed for the purpose of segregation, to the point where I hear the city is unlivable to non residents not familiar with it, and anyone not above the 100k cut off.

NYC, cuts off at 100k; bellow a salary of 100k, expect a life of hardship, debt, and deep misery, above 100k NYC is paradise on earth.  Above 100k.

The truth is it doesn't need to be that overpriced, and all the money it generates means that all of it could be a beautiful city, it is largely racism and discrimination, and white arrogance, which keeps the areas as ugly as they are, as crime ridden as they are, and so crawling with cops of all races the city ressembles a place run by a police state rather than a democracy.

No, its not human behavior; only a minority of discriminated against people are that hypocritical, but generally southern Italians DO tend to be the worst.  As a general rule, Italians from Italy itself, are much nicer than Italians living in America.  In fact, Italian actor Raul Bova stated he couldn't stand it here, and he thought Italian americans were sh*t heads.  Now, this is from a native born, home grown Italian saying this; ethnicity doesn't mean c**p, despite sharing the same ethnic background as Italian americans there is still a deep culture clash.

Ugh, ultimately though it is better to side with individuals than with groups.
