  1. The Black Republicans released this statement on Barack Obama:

Forty-five years ago, on August 28, 1963, The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who was a Republican and embraced the traditional values that made this country great delivered his inspirational civil rights "I Have a Dream" speech.

Today, Senator Barack Obama, with the most liberal voting record in the US Senate, is delivering his political acceptance speech, in an apparent attempt to assume for himself the mantle of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Dr. King did not embrace the type of secularist agenda promoted by Obama and the Democratic Party of today, which includes fostering dependency on welfare that breaks up families, supporting same-s*x marriage and partial-birth abortion, and banning God from the public square.

    Obama is no MLK!

  2. He is running for president, he can't come across as a muslim lover these days among the american population

  3. cause america hates muslims and it could cost him the election

  4. Obama is open to men and women of all religions - he just doesn't happen to BE a Muslim. Neither am I come to think of it.

  5. Senator Obama has never said anything derogatory about Islam or Muslims.  Just because he doesn't follow the religion does not mean he resents it.

    McCain '08!!!

  6. His roots are African and American and raised in Hawaii. To be a Muslim is a religious choice.

  7. He is hiding his feelings he is all for the Muslims they send him and Biden plenty of money, Dont be Fooled

  10. want to do any thing to get the vote thats why

  11. OMG!! Your questions screams of your disdain for DOCTOR Martin Luther King Jr. along with your obvious dislike of Obama. And to answer your question, I think King was open and respectful of all humans, and I believe the same about Obama. We need to listen to the candidates messages, review their history, and evaluate their character based upon what we actually can verify, not some half baked story that we pick up on the Internet of all places. Just because your father is a Muslim it does not obligate you to become one. We do live in different times. Catch up!!!

  12. it seems not that he resents his 'roots,' which i use loosely, due to the fact he was raised under christian principles, but instead he is trying to distance himself from any islamic notions, lest it be used against him in his bid to become president.

plus, i mean come on, obama's nowhere near as cool as mlk, and those dudes are totally sailors. don't you see their collars?

  13. That is called islamic 'takiya', where you are to be a liar to all non-muslims.  Martin Luther King was a great chrfistian, who called allah satan publicly, many times.  The black muslims, the cowardly converts, made him a hero to ride his coat tails.  Why?  Because muslims are losers, unable to do anything by themselves, it must be done for muslims, so they can steal it.  That is a known fact.

As the muslims murder all non-muslims, and do what the cowards can to spread anti-Semitism, the hatred of people they WRONGLY consider their better, i like to quote Martini Luther myself, who said, "Let my words echo in the depths of your soul: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews - -make no mistake about it."

  14. How sure are you that they are muslim?  Elijah Muhammad, head of the Nation of Islam, was not an MLK fan and did not encourage his followers to follow anyone else, like MLK.

I say that the men around him are affecting the style of those who surrounded MLK's role model, the Mahatma Gahdi (Hindu). They themselves were likely neither Muslim nor Hindu.

  15. Being a muslim was ok before 9/11. That's the reason.

  16. obama has muslim roots? wow! has anyone told the palin daughter with the two kids, one of them is black.

those are navy hats you loser.

  17. I was confused by PhD king... You do know no one calls him that...

Obama isn't muslim.  Muslim is a religion not a race.

  18. Obama has made no statement that shows any resentment of the religion of his father.

  19. He can't win with muslim ties. mainstream America remembers 9/11.

  20. those are navy sailor hats

    hahaha

maybe you should go up to a bunch of u.s. navy sailors

and ask them why they are all muslims

  21. In MLK's earlier career, when he had not fully developed his method of nonviolence, he accepted bodyguards from the "Nation of Islam," AKA "Black Muslims."  Nation of Islam is not considered Islam by most Muslims, as it has some really weird doctrines quite different from real Islam.

In time, MLK gave up the bodyguards in favor of complete nonviolence.

However, he never discriminated against members of any religion or race, if they wanted to join in his nonviolent movement.  He disagreed with Nation of Islam on this.
