  1. ask Japan...ask Germany

  2. because "good" can almost always see "evil" for what it is

  3. The problem with your "view", is that if you're wrong once, there is a very high price to pay.

  4. Gee I dont know...maybe because they overtly THREATEN us?

  5. Because we're not stupid. If you can hear a rattle snake you're about to get bit.

  6. I wouldn't be so quick to confine that quality to Republicans:

Of course he gave that speech the night before his impeachment proceedings began so it might have all just been a bunch of b.s.

  7. Why is it that I'd rather be in bed sleeping than have a bomb up my ***? And why does Obama keep insisting that the Republicans left the economy out of their equation the last three nights? When they couldn't shut up about it? Can't Obama just shut up and quit lying already? I wonder how many "promises" he'll make..

  8. You remember Pearl Harbor? Cuban Missle Crisis? Kuwait? Need I go on?

    Buy a history book.

  9.   Did you notice that the UN condemned Iraq numerous times before we removed Sadam Hussein? Did you notice that his own people had him executed?

Have you noticed that the UN condemns Iran's and North Korea's nuclear development efforts?

  10. Yes, all 194 countries are absolutely teeming with seething western hating plebeians with sophisticated weapons and fear tactics. By God, we should take them all down!!! Starting with:

    U.K.

    Israel

    Australia

    Canada

    Japan

    South Korea

    Turkey

    Poland

    Georgia

    the Vatican

Most of our allies are not our friends. They get along with us and would'nt attack us, but they wouldn't come to our aid if we were attacked, or had a huge natural disaster. they like us alright, but they aren't our drinking buddies.

Look, there's only like maybe 8 hostile countries. The rest of the enemies--people who make bombs and detonate them in US friendly areas, people who seize hostages, kill Christians, and blame everything in general on the US  are just small groups within largely neutral countries. So why bother about those tiny factions? The US revolution started with a tiny minority that brought about the end of the Western british empire. the Taliban was a small group that controlled several nations in the middle east.

There is a guy out there not waiting to kill you, Knows All Yoda Does, but he wants to kill an American. If they can take twice as many as Pearl Harbor, all the better he thinks.

Haven't you heard about the bombings in Madrid, the subway and bus explosions in the UK, attacks on Christians? A while ago, UK forces cracked down on an insurgent/terrorist training camp. Do you know where it was? Not Afghanistan, not the Middle east, in BRITAIN.

They may not want to kill Knows All Yoda Does, but "they" HAVE killed CHRISTIANS, they have taken HOSTAGES, they do commit SUICIDE BOMBINGS, they do burn America flags.

"They" attack democracies, they target and kill leaders in their own lands who support western countries.

While there is no reason to live in constant fear, there is no need for terrorist code colors (remeber those? they were an embarassment to the country, there is no need to build shelters, there IS a need to be prudent, to stay vigilant, to stay informed.

If you aren't convinced that there are people --a very, very very small group of people that would kill you because you live in a democracy, you are an American, ahh, im getting tired and im ranting. Im really sorry.

The threat to our existence is that they want to try to change the american way of life, like they've been trying to change the French way of life, the Iraqi wy of life, the British way of life. We should'nt have to exist, afraid that someone will attack us for being who we are,  we should not have to change who and how we are to appease a group.

  11. to keep the masses afraid

and willing to give up their liberties

for a false sense of security

  12. Because they are. Perhaps you haven't heard Ahmadinejad say the US is going to be burned in flames & Iran is going to light the match?

That's the line of reasoning that allowed Clinton to let Bin laden go free and we all know what came of that.

When I can go from Nome to Tierra Del Fuego and London to Tokyo by myself with no hassle, maybe then we can believe there are no threats.

  13. Because of their complicity in the military-industrial-congressional complex. War is financially profitable for them. And yes, some Democrats are involved too.

  14. Because they ARE a threat.

And this, ladies and gentlemen is what Obama brings to the table. Hamas endorsed Barack Hussein Obama will turn his back to countries like Iran, Syria, North Korea and Russia and allow them to have outstanding nuclear weapons programs. And all the while, al-Qaida and the Taliban are regrouping and becoming as strong as before.

For national security, vote for the war hero, not the inexperienced Community Organizer with Chicago style politics.

  15. In the 10's we believed "The Great War is just a European thing.  We can negotiate with the Kaiser and cut the military because there's no way it will involve us since we are protected by the oceans!"

In the 30's we believed "Hitler may be a lunatic and Hirohito is obviously agressive but we won't be involved because we can negotiate with them and cut the military because we are protected by the oceans!"

In the 70's we believed "The communists don't mean us any harm.  We can negotiate with them and cut the military because we are protected by the oceans!"

In the 90's we believed "It's a real shame the middle east is so out of control but we can negotiate with them and cut the military because we are protected by the oceans!"

So, I guess you are right!  There is no threat today in the 2000's because these guys are only threats to their local neighbors. We can negotiate with them and cut the military because we are protected by the oceans!.

  16. To create more wars, take more of our money, and cost more Americans lives.

  17. Two words.

    Fox News.

I've been to Iran myself. Beautiful country, people were very open, very curious, and some of the nicest people I have ever met, even to me.

I lost my wallet (with around $2000 in cash), credit cards and two cameras on a street in Esfahan. 15 minutes later, this man in his 40s comes running after me, shouting "mister! mister!" in broken English. There he was, had been running after me for about 15 minutes, with my $2000 in cash, credit cards and cameras. I tried to give him $200 but he refused take it, and told me to enjoy my stay. I literally had to grab his hand and hand it to him. I'm a blonde haired caucasian, my accent is as American as they come.

Believing people everywhere hate us is a great misunderstanding.

Ahmedinejad is a nut, who needs to be dealt with accordingly, but the Iranian people want a war no more than (most) Americans do, and believing all this c**p about everyone hating us is just bs. People in general don't hate America, they hate the current administration.

I bet you Fox news would find themselves very surprised if they actually got themselves some passports and traveled a little bit.. And I'm not just talking military bases, but actually make an effort to see..

    Sigh..

(Btw, I'm a moderate, and please don't question my reasons for going to Iran. I love traveling, regardless of a country's leadership)
