Why is it that Scotalnd and Wales will be scrapping parking charges at NHS hospitals but ?

England under Labour ,will carry on charging us for parking?

The English have to subsidise London and its money wasting schemes .For MPs there is nothing outside London.English MPs don, t use the NHS unless it,s for a publicity stunt.

Private hospitals don,t charge for parking.

Because Scotland and Wales have devolved governments who have decided to scrap these charges.  If you want this in England, write to your MPs and tell them this.

Because England choose to spend their money on other things e.g. hosting the Olympics

Its the devolved Assemblies choosing to do these things, like the Welsh Assembly scrapped prescription charges here in Wales.

I also think its unfair though.  My mother in law lives in England and still has to pay for her prescriptions, even though she's dependent on several medications.  I told her that next time she comes to visit she should go to our Dr and get him to write her up a precription for a years supply of everything she needs!

they just charge you higher taxes to pay for the hospital instead. The hospital has to be paid for. They have just chosen a different way to pay for it.
