  1. the total mass of the floating object has to weigh less than the water that is dissplaced. FACT

  2. It is becuase of the shape of the boat. It is hollow so therefore, it displaces a higher amount of water thhan it weighs. Making it float. The peso displaces a lower amount of water than it was so it sinks.

  3. Ferry dust. The answer has to be ferry dust.

  4. It is the shape of the hull of a boat, that causes water displacement, hence its ability to float and not sink.  An object that sinks also displaces an amount of fluid equal to the object's volume.

Your peso sinks simply because it has little to no ability to displace water.  Not because it is heavy or anything else.

A ferry boat on the other hand has a hull (or hulls) that are curved and displace (push aside) the water to float.

A definition of buoyancy is the upward force on an object produced by the surrounding fluid  in which it is fully or partially immersed, due to the pressure difference of the fluid between the top and bottom of the object.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Water displacement. A ferry can displace tons of water while keeping it out, a Peso, due to it being flat and thin can't displace enough water to it's weight ratio.

  6. The coin is more dense
