Why is it that after i move files from Desktop to My Documents,the files still stay in Desktop?

Why is it that after i move files from Desktop to My Documents,the files still stay in Desktop?

The only way it can happen is if your Desktop and My Documents are on different drives. Then the default for a drag and drop is to copy. Within the same drive the default is to move.

I always do a right-click drag-drop to make sure of what I am doing.

when you just click, and drag it to the folder from the desktop, you are just creating a copy of it. unless you right click, move. you can always just delete from the desktop once youve put it into the other desired folder. it wont hurt.

i also have the problem, after drag in, the file still there, but if you drag in again, they will say duplicate copy, means ald got the file inside, i go in see, the files is inside , back to desktop, again got the file
