Question:

Why is it that geniuses are most likely to go mad?

Is it because their brains are wired up like a silicon chip when it should be like the insides of a clock? Does the genius part get too big that it consumes other parts of the brain? Or were these people mad to begin with but their super-brains managed to keep it under control or hide it. Or is it just urban myth and it's actually the dullest that go mad the most. What makes a genius a genius anyway? Chemicals in the brain?

  1. Many geniuses already had an underlying mental health problem or learning disability. Obviously not all but some.

  2. its like having too many monkeys in one cage, too much easily causes chaos and disorder, to have that many monkeys working you need high management and you can easily slip and all those monkeys break free.

  3. People just notice it more when it happens to someone that had scholastic aptitude (and was labelled a genius because of it).

  4. My opinion is that they are so intelligent and nothing can keep them challenged enough to keep them focused. I think they over analyze every tiny thing and their brain just can't handle it any longer. Most geniuses are ADD / ADHD, so they need to be challenged every minute of every day. Their brain is just working 24 hours a day non stop. They don't know how to relax. They just go , every direction.
