  1. The fantasy concept was used in religion to control the masses, b/c who would defy "God told me you should do this and this, blah blah blah....Then people bought in to it. h**l makes no sense to me. what purpose would it serve? I have seen h**l on earth. I mean, look around you!

Living in the moment creates a much happier and giving life.

  2. h**l is perceived as (complete) separation from the Creator of Life. Such a conception is deemed torture. Because of the conviction in this relentless torture, it scares people.

Complete separation from the Creator of Life (the All in All) is not possible, but it can be imagined so, and thus believed it is real.

h**l is the impossible belief made possible by the fearful dream of the Child Creator. Instead of listening to Life (aka Love), the Child hears the faint voice of death and guilt and thinks these have replaced Joy and Peace.

The Father/Mother of Creation does not Will the Child to(ward) "h**l." The Creator provides every opportunity (endless opportunity) for the short and simple journey Home. The Creator sees no need to forgive the Child, for the Creator knows of no separation. The Child must simply forgive own Self for thinking "I am" separate from I Am.

  3. This reminds me of GW Bush and his terrorist tactics to get us to behave. You d**n better believe in me or I will raise the terror level to "orange". They're coming to get you!

Most people are scared at the thought of living in a hot place and cracking rocks forever. Plus you will be living there with all the evil sinners. Yeeoww!

I never cared for the idea of being "God Fearing". Why should we fear God. God is great, God is good, and we thank him for this food, Amen.

  4. There's an old saying: "Religion is for people that are afraid of h**l, Spirituality is for people that have lived it".

I think that the truer nature of the word "religion" is beginning to unfold now that we have the internet, and that you can ask great and honest questions like this, and get feedback instantly.

The word religion stems from the Latin word religio which loosely translates as "linking up" or "linking back". So in a sense, we are all having a religious experience right now!   :^O  namaste!  (apologies to my nihilist friends...:))

Scott Peck once wrote: "h**l is a time or a place or a state of mind, in which there is no Love". And I can't remember who wrote this one: "Love is the pain of being truly alive". The polarity of Love and h**l exists for us on a physical plane, mainly because of the curse and the blessing of our wonderful and intrinsically morbid intellects. The Lion Loves the Zebra, in a way, because it has no choice.

I like that you mention that you are a Christian, because the choice that Jesus made has something to teach everybody, regardless of what labels we put on ourselves.

I don't like to follow any dogma these days, if I can help it (though I still get a bang out of the movie by that name) but the idea of "the Christ impulse" holds great hope for humanity, as our consciousness evolves.

I also think that most people are afraid of their own dark sides. They want to be like Jesus, but they don't want to be like the people that nailed him to the cross. I know myself to be both...

    More will be revealed...

  5. The whole concept revolves around the belief that you won't be dead without feelings or pain. The point is that the soul continues to live.

Now, it's been awhile and some of the details are hazy, but if I recall correctly God only forgives you if you repent the negative acts you perpetrated in this life. Only if you truly regret these acts does God allow you into heaven.

I also once heard h**l described as not being all fire and brimstone, etc, but being out of God's sight. Not being able to receive God's love and attention. (I personally liked this description best as it hinted that perhaps h**l is a self-imposed state of being created by turning away from God's blessings.)

But, it's been awhile since I've been to church. And everyone has their own version anyway.

  6. I am a Nihilist, i believe in science.  all of our emotions are just chemical reactions in the brain,  i know some people say there has to be more.  well to bad, when i die I'm not going to some place in clouds or some place in fire that is a stupid notion.  you know the people that wrote the bible were hanging out around the desert eating locust and wild honey some of which have psychedelic properties,  I'm not going to run my life by what some trippin guy said

  7. Hi there, h**l is real, doesn't mean that old Nic is sitting on a throne in fire and flames, Nic is wandering this earth as I type, trying his hardest to get ppl to have doubts, attack their faith etc. In the sciptures it is clear what God has planned, Heaven or h**l, and it does talk about eternal damnation in the pits. Who would want that? some satanists certainly and they are welcome to it, as for me, Heaven any time and god willing I will be. As a Christian you know all will face a judgement when the time comes, why would God send ppl to h**l, simple really, anyone that says Christ is nothing was never real and hate God himself, why not send them to h**l after what Christ went through, as in the days of Noah, all the ppl had warnings and chose to ignore, and we know the outcome of that, so for now keep the faith, no point in wondering how God works as we are not meant to. Good luck
