Question:

Why is it that i am.....?

...Called stupid because i was never like an "A" student and struggled in school quite a bit? I thought there was more to intelligence than just getting a letter grade on a piece of paper... what is it with people and their joy to put others down? I seriously think people don't give a c**p about anyone but themselves anymore.

  1. i know right. life is about knowing about life and not all of it has to be about algebra, or social studies it can be knowing the whole intire beatles history (pop culture stuff) and cool facts. and yes every body is soooo vein, they only care about them self and when they know something is Wrong with them self's they put down somebody else and it makes them feel better. but trust me you prob. are very smart!


  2. i really dont care about how smart people are. its their choice to care about themselves just ignore them and i am no straight A student either and i dont care what people say at all

  3. Don't worry about it, you get put down more than anyone if you have a's.

    There is a difference between book smart and street smart. school is not important. When are you going to have to know what a reflexive pronoun is? Really, think! Is that important in life? No, its not!

    So don't don't worry if other people say your not smart, because obviously they are not smart if they find the need to torment you about that.  

  4. I know there are a lot more rude people these days then there use to be! I just don't understand why the world has gotten so crazy!! I hope they leave you alone! People like that are just trying to make themselves feel better! I wish you the best of luck!

  5. One day you will see more clearly that the struggles you denounce are your teachers and without them there would be no reason for life. Think of it. If life was one huge victory and there were no defeats then what would be the purpose of education or life or love or our existence itself?

    I don't like hassles but in the rear view of life they have been my greatest teachers.

    When you win  you party and when you lose you ponder.

  6. Oh, let me tell you, there's a lot more to intelligence than grades in school.

    Schools are very narrowly focused on teaching to a certain type of intelligence. People who are good at taking tests and absorbing what a teacher says in a classroom will do well. People whose intelligence is more rebellious and free-form, not so much.

  8. You're right about your last sentence.

    Getting a grade is one thing.  Getting put down by others is something else.

    You are NOT stupid.  You obviously know your way around a computer.  I don't think you know how many older people cannot figure a computer out.

    If you want better grades, you must work at memorizing and understanding your school work.  Ask questions.  There is never a dumb question.

    As to the idiots calling you names:  You'll either 1. have to wait a few years until they mature, as you do.  Or, 2. Learn some new phrases as come backs or kung fu moves.  

    The best way to build confidence is hanging out with like-minded people.  Those jokers are not in the same mind as you.

  10. they may think there better then you, but that personality wont get them very far in life,dont worry about them brush them off your shoulder and think about how you are going to be above them now, and forever!

  14. People that call other people stupid are just trying to gain their own confidence by ruining everybody else's self esteem. Just because you don't get A's doesn't mean you're stupid. There are plenty of intelligent people out there who get F's. They just don't apply themselves.

    There's intelligence in books. Then, there's intelligence in street smarts.  

  15. Most people who put you down are themselves suffering from some kind of inferiority complex. In order for them to feel better, they step on YOU, so theya re at least "better" than one other person.

    And i agree with your last statement. Unless it involves me, I don't care about you. You could be lying dead in the gutter in front of my house and the only thing i would be concerned about is that the garbage men will not pick you up on trash day

  21. they probably call you dumb because they're insecure and it makes them feel better about themselves to put others down. just know that the person making fun of you has their own list of problems that's causing them to act like a jerk

  25. People don't really care about your grades after high school. I was the valedictorian of my high school class, and I thought that when people heard this, they'd automatically assume I was intelligent, but that is definitely not the case. No one cares.

I got c's and d's in high school but I have a high IQ.  My attention span just couldn't take school so don't worry about that determining your intelligence, it will though hurt your knowledge.  People insult to brings themselves up, most everyone will do it even you, some people just are more jerky and enjoy doing it around others in front of the insultee.
