Why is it that i can't make friends?

I know this is a hard ques to answer b/c you don't know me but here is some details. I am a stay at home mom and I go out to play groups and to the park usually weekly or every other week. Have met some moms but don't really click with them or get to know them well enough because i'm too busy chasing my toddler around, lol.

I live in the country and know our neighbor and go over there to visit sometimes but they seem weird about things and we just don't seem to get over the aquaintance part and move to being friends.

I am shy when I first meet people, hopefully doesn't come out to be s****.. I am average looks wise and make a middle class income.

We are on myspace and I keep in touch with old friends but again, I make plans and everyone is always canceling on me or doesn't want to get together.

What on earth can I do to make more friends or find at least one good friend that's reliable and actually cares...

I know what you mean.  I work as an administrative assistant and I dont really have even one friend.  I think Im ok on looks, average money.  I just think I choose not to really have friends.  I love just going home and spending time with my 2 kids and my husband.  He is my best friend.  Friends just stab you in the back.

shoot im just like ya. i dont listen to people and i dont care wat they think of me, im not here to please them. good luck, happiness comes to those who dont look for it.
