The leaves of stinging nettles do not sting.  The sting is on the stalks of the nettles.

Here in UK the stinging nettle is most common near human habitation.  It likes well drained and fed soil to live in.

  3. Because your dog is covered in hair.

  4. Because your dog is covered in hair, which resists the nettle to come to his skin, and when they do, a dog has also a little stronger skin than the humans, which also protects him a little more.

  5. Your dog is covered by hair!

If you wear a jacket it gives you the same protect as that of a dogs fur coat.
