Why is it that in Mexican football players never shoot from other place except in front of the goal?

Always the same story, get close from the right or left, pass to the half circle area and pray for somebody to be in a good position, and for this somebody to dribble between 3 or 4 defenders and score.

Siempre es lo mismo, acortar distancia por banda izquierda, o derecha, mandar centro y rezar para que alguien este bien parado y entre 3 o 4 contrarios burle al portero.

It's customary to see international games where the Mexicans surprise with one or two goals during the first half.

Afterwards, they go to the half-time break where the opponent adjusts his strategy and even or surmount the score.

Es tipico que en juegos internacionales, Mexico sorprenda al contrario con buenos aproximamientos y uno o dos goles durante la primera mitad.

Despues el contrario se va a los vestidores, hacen los ajustes correspondientes a la estrategia mexicana y empatan o ganan el partido.

This is not an inferiority complex, but since the early nineties, I rarely if ever, have seen a Mexican score from other place than te #$&%# welcome mat!

No es complejo de inferioridad, pero desde la epoca de Mejia Baron y Zague, casi no veo goles que entren desde otro inche lugar que no sea desde el #$%&#$#* tapete de entrada!

In German football, we can see players scoring from farther out, or from the left or right laterals. I even remember goals from almost middle field during the 1982 world cup!

Si vemos al futbol aleman por ejemplo, vemos que los jugadores tiran desde mas lejos o desde el volante izq. o der., intentan jugadas de pared, etc.

Recuerdo a selecciones marcando goles desde casi la media cancha durante Espan~a 82 (al que no fuimos).

yes, mexicans shoot from way outside the box. but when el tri plays. most of the time they starters are

mids- pardo-torrado- arce- guardado-(i only listed mids because they are the one's who are in the best position to shoot from afar)

torrado, will not and hasnt shoot from outside the box, he dosnt have enough skill to do it.

pardo dose, he takes about 3 shots outside the box per game. watch him.  

guardado will shoot from the banda's because he has a very strong left leg.

arce on the other hand has great touch. but he runs up field more often than not to help out the strikers up top. so he cant take the long shots.

so most long shots will come from pardo or guardado.

now, the reason i said you must have not played futbol is,  when you kick a ball, it takes off and as it loses speed, it get's lift,   lift happens when the ball dosnt have enough force pushing it threw the air and that cause air to push it from under.

which is when the ball is kicked from far out the ball is in a straight line till it slows then it has the drastic lift on it.

people will strong legs like guardado and pardo can hit it from far distnaces because there leg strenght can push the ball longer threw air.

it's like a plane take off.

to me it doesn't matter from where they shoot it as long as they score which is the most imortant thing to do in a game

yup i always think of this and my head goes cracy just to see them do the same stupid thing that dont work. is as if they dont have faith in their shots me desesperan specially when we are losing.

in the mexican league is all about passing.the ball having more possession so they have more chances of scoring did u see the mexico vs honduras game they where all passing but like 3 out of 1 shot they scored

but with sven erickson they will start to take more shoots since he knows european football and has coached england , man city and many more

you know what thats one thing i always think, why dont mexican teams/players shoot from outside more??? Look what pardo did a couple of days ago.....sometimes they get the ball outside the box, just shoot! but yes they try to pass it or pass it to the left or right....i agree with you on that. I mean there is great mexican shooters, Ramon Morales, Luis Perez, Temo, Guardado, even el Venado Medina, he has a great shot but he usually never tries to kick from outside!!
