or human interactions, with the different situations and issues that confronts us, most people are most of the time, incapable of seeing the Bigger picture.

Is it youthful inexperience, ignorance, laziness, lack of intelligence, plain prejudices, the spin spun, sheer bloody-mindedness or what. What do you think about this observation.

  1. I've noticed the same thing myself, it seems to me that most people tend only to see the things that effect them or those close to them directly, that includes people who care about the plight of others in the world because that is still one of the things that they themselves are worried about at the time. To consider the bigger picture sometimes we have to think beyond the immediate needs of the moment, and even sacrifice a certain amount for the sake of future generations.

Unfortunately in the case of politicians and political parties, this would mean doing things that wouldn't advance their personal career or reputation until it was too late to do them any personal or party political good, they would have to be selfless. Individuals can and do do this at times but not governments. If they had been functioning this way the world would be a far better and fairer place for everyone without exception.  Sorry that was such a long diatribe I hope it's wasn't a load of total nonsense.
