Why is it that mini van drivers?

Why is it that people in mini vans drive soooooo sloooow? Is it my imagination? Are they scared that they'll tip? What is it? If the speed limit is 55, they go 40. If their in a 25mph zone, they almost stop. Help me to understand guys.....any good theories?

That's strange, I've found the speeding soccer moms in the mini-vans to be some of the worst drivers (right up there with the elderly and teens).  Seriously, I pull over a lot of mini-vans for speeding and traffic violations (cutting people off, running red lights, running stop signs, and similar).  They almost always give me attitude, why don't I find real criminals (Umm, I pulled you over for breaking the law...you are a real criminal), now they're going to be even later (maybe you should have left earlier), blah-blah-blah.  I give out citations to them like candy.
