  1. There are many great spinners however the problem is that in a bowling line up, most of the bowlers will be pacers whilst only about one will be a full time spin bowler with many a few part time spinners. It just the nature of the game, you play more pacers in a bowling line up with yuor spinner as a variation.

For example Stuart MacGill is a great spin bowler and in most other countries he would have been selected for international matches. However MacGill's problem was that Shane Warne is the king of spin and thus Warne would always get to play and because the rest of the bowling line up was made up of pacers, MacGill did not get to play many matches at all

  2. Murli

    Warne

    Kumble

  3. This is the first i have heard of it. Why do you say this? I know allot of quality spin bowlers. Such as: Daniel Victorie (I can't spell his name), Shane Warne, Sri Lanken bowler whose name i cannot spell. I think you're saying this because there are more pace bowlers in a team then spinners. This isn't to do with the quality of the bowlers, but stragetics for the team

  4. I think you have got it wrong...Not most pacers are spinners...

its just that being a good spinner is a real skill and not as many could achieve that point. It is harder to become a good spinner...requires extreme control but it is way easier to become a fast or medium pace bowler...Heck I could pick up a baseball pitcher and I will teach him to bowl fast in a few days...maybe not as good but he will learn...

on the other hand its not the case with being a spinner
