Question:

Why is it that my 14 week old siamese kitten wants to be held and cuddled so much?

When he's not playing with my other cat, getting into something, or being a normal noisy kitten he wants to constantly be on my lap getting cuddled. Every time I go to the bathroom he feels the need to jump in my lap as I'm sitting on the thrown. Is he just a sweet lovable boy?

  1. if this bothers you maybe you should have gotten a goldfish for a pet

  2. He's all cuddly because he's a baby.  That's what babies do.  Luckily, some cats stay that way into their adulthood.

    Cuddle him back.

  3. He's Siamese!  They are extremely people-oriented, attention-demanding, in-your-face type of cats.  It goes with the territory  :o)

  4. I would think that a 14 week old kitten is still missing it's mother in some way.  You are now it's new mother, and it probably enjoys the warmth and comfort that comes with sitting in your lap.

However, no worries!  Most cats turn into arrogant jerks soon enough and you can look forward to endless months of being ignored and dealing with a snooty dander ball!

  5. Welcome to Siamese ownership!  They are the most attention needy cats (especially boys!!) but so worth it!  I wish mine were 14 weeks again!  Enjoy your baby now, he will outgrow this somewhat but will always be craving your attention.  Siamese babies, sigh... I miss that!

  6. All Siamese cats LOVE attention. It could also be that he is still young and likes to be around people.
